Carli Pintop 2.5 Leveling System Base 3in Lift 2003–2009 Ram 2500/3500 Diesel
The Carli Pintop 2.5 Leveling System is one of Carli’s most popular all-around suspension systems, built for Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 diesel owners looking for substantial on-road and off-road performance improvement. This system raises the front of the truck 2.5 to 3 inches depending on year and cab configuration, while increasing front suspension travel by 50% over the factory platform with taller, lighter-rate coil springs.
This system features Carli-specific, blueprinted King 2.5-inch remote reservoir shocks on all four corners. Carli designed custom pistons to establish proper base flow rates for the heavy-duty truck platform, then tuned the shocks in-house for improved ride quality, handling, and control. The Pintop system delivers a strong balance of performance, capability, and value for Ram owners who want a major suspension upgrade without stepping into Carli’s higher-end systems.

This system was designed and tuned in-house for substantial on-road and off-road performance improvement.

Carli recommends extended control arms to shift the axle forward to its new center of travel.

When lifting the front of a straight axle truck, the front axle is pulled off-center unless the proper linkages are addressed.

Three inches of front lift shifts the axle toward the driver side approximately 3/4 inch and back toward the cab approximately 1/2 inch.

The included adjustable track bar helps push the axle back toward the passenger side and provides a stronger link with less deflection for the lifted application.

Extended sway bar end links or Carli’s replacement torsion sway bar are available to correct front sway bar position with the taller ride height and added down-travel.

Extended sway bar end links use 1/2-inch FK rod ends and in-house machined 17-4 stainless bodies extended over stock to reset sway bar engagement points.

Factory pillow bushings are reused to assemble the sway bar to the lengthened links.

Carli’s optional torsion sway bar replaces the factory sway bar assembly with a torsion bar supported by fabricated drop brackets and Delrin bushings.

The optional torsion sway bar includes fabricated sway bar arms and dual 5/8-inch FK heim end links.

The torsion sway bar is one of Carli’s best ride-quality upgrades.

King shocks use shafts machined and polished from a solid piece of 17-4 stainless steel.

King shock oil is rated to -55°F.

King shocks use plated steel bodies. If exposed to inclement weather for extended periods, Carli recommends wrapping the shocks in 3M film to provide a replaceable moisture barrier.
Wheel and Tire Notes:

This system can fit up to a 37-inch tire when paired with Carli High Clearance Control Arms and Full Progressive Leaf Springs.

Wheels should be no more than 9 inches wide with 5.75 inches of backspacing when running up to a 37-inch tire.

If running factory control arms or factory wheels, Carli recommends an all-terrain 35-inch tire.

More tire sidewall improves small bump compliance at proper inflation pressures.

Ride quality will firm up as wheel diameter increases.
